Les Fers Race

The Thursday night race to les Fers!

Every Thursday night in the winter time, Hefti Sports and the Tourist Office organize the weekly race to les Fers. It is in fact not a race, but more of a fun outing to one of Leysin's mountain restaurants. The race always starts at 7pm and takes between 30-60 minutes depending on your level. People can use touring equipment, snowshoes, and sometimes, running shoes (if the snow allows). Once at the top, poeple generally eat a nice meal and ski or slide back down in the night.

Everyone of every level is welcome (the race is free). If you feel like going fast, be our guest. If you feel like taking it easy and enjoying the full moon, take your time. It is recommended to take a backpack with a small change of clothes, for once you get up there, as well as a head lamp for the ski down.

The race generally starts on the second week of January and ends at the end of March. If you need to rent equipment for the evening, we will be glad to supply you with it. The start date will be posted on the blog. See you at the start!
