On Wednesday, the Hefti Crew went up for a few powder runs in Leysin. Our technician Alex accompanied by Fred and Malik found some sweet safe runs to do with a fair amount of fresh goodness. There was a little crust on the top which made it slightly challenging for some. (:

It's pretty neat how our genuine Swiss Weather Prophet predicted this much snow this season. It has snowed another 50 cm on the mountain top in the last 3 days which gives us nearly 3 meters of packed snow on the mountain top. The February vacations are looking nearly perfect with every ski slope open and great conditions.

Nearly three weeks of snow took place during the holidays, a phenomenon that had rarely been seen here in the Alps. People are talking about their best ski days ever with daily fresh powder to the chest.

It is snowing again here in Leysin and Les Mosses this morning (24-12-11) and we are so happy to see all this white powder fall from the sky. This winter is already looking perfect and should put smiles on everyone's faces. Not only are we thankful for the snow, but we are thankful to all of our loyal clients that keep on supporting and visiting our shops. It has snowed more in the past 3 days than the whole of last season. The current situation is incredible and we may be reaching nearly two meters of fresh snow in our part of Switzerland. The lifts were able to partially open today in Leysin and mostly in les Mosses. Skiers and snowboarders were able to experience some epic riding!!!

This time, winter has arrived! It has been snowing non-stop above 1500 meters and on and off in the the village of Leysin. The accumulation of snow above 1500 meters is important and the conditions are reaching perfection. Starting this Saturday December 17th, the resorts of Leysin - Les Mosses - La Lécherette will be fully open for skiing for the entire season (100 km)!

The first major snowfall of the season took place these past days and has allowed us to go check the mountain out and see how much was there. Surprisingly, there was enough for us to tour from the village up to the summit. Skiing down was also quite good until half way down.
